The BS Islamic Banking & Finance program offers a unique opportunity for students to understand finance through a Shariah-based lens—preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the growing field of Islamic economics. Likewise, the BS Education program aims to develop competent, compassionate, and principled educators capable of transforming minds and communities through values-based learning.

Humanities and social sciences skills have been identified as 21st-century competencies and are gaining traction among academics worldwide because humanities courses acquaint students with creative concepts. Humanities courses not only qualify them to execute civic responsibilities but also train them to be intelligent writers and speakers in their chosen subjects of study. It also helps them to comprehend the complexity of the world by thinking critically, creatively, and historically.

Program Offered: BS Education (4 Years/8 Semesters Program)

Given the importance of this subject, the FHSS is committed to educating students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in the domain of humanities and social sciences at a high standard. The Department of Education has been established at DMIU to deliver a high-quality education to students interested in pursuing a career in teaching. The department has evolved and thrived in response to societal and technical changes in general and the educational environment in particular. The Department is committed to assisting in the dissemination of inclusive knowledge about education. It wants to help DMIU reach its goal by focusing on how students can grow as people through lifelong learning.

The department offers teacher education programs ranging from the Associate Degree in Education (ADE) to the Bachelor of Science (BS) level. These programs are intended to provide teachers with a solid foundation in educational theories, policies, and practices, as well as opportunities to focus on their professional development via critical thinking and professional execution. The department seeks to expand the critical capabilities and awareness of its students in the fundamental areas of education through the provision of high-quality education. Thus, upon completion of the programs, graduates will be ready to work in a variety of disciplines in education and research.

Summer Semester

The Semester will be offered only for ADA and ADB students.
Students will complete a three-credit-hour field experience during the vacation.
